Razor HD 12x50 Binoculars Description
Smaller, lighter, brighter, and more durable, the Vortex Razor HD 12×50 binoculars, first released in 2012, use advanced technology and premium materials. Thanks to selected prisms and ultra-low dispersion high-definition (HD) lenses, images are incredibly clear. Other optical advantages include XR anti-reflective coatings on all lens elements, which increase light transmission. The phase-corrected BaK4 prisms deliver sharp, high-contrast images across the entire field of view. Roof prisms use dielectric multi-layer reflective coatings instead of the aluminum coatings commonly found in cheaper binoculars. Dielectric coatings enhance reflectivity, resulting in clearer, more natural images.
The Razor HD 12×50 features a magnesium alloy body that reduces weight without sacrificing strength. The binoculars are filled with argon gas to prevent fogging in high-humidity environments or sudden temperature changes. Unlike the more common nitrogen, argon is a denser gas and less likely to escape from the binoculars. The Vortex Razor HD 12×50 showcases the true power of optical technology.
