Biorb Transformer 12V – Description
Safety is essential when operating electrical items near water. All aquariums require power for lighting and filtration, usually using mains electricity at 240V or 120V, which can pose serious electric shock risks if dropped or immersed in water.

The Reef One aquarium range is designed for maximum safety, using low-voltage 12V AC for all electrical components. The AC transformer plugs into a mains socket and steps down the voltage to a safe 12V AC. Two DIN sockets on the transformer allow connection of either halogen or air pump wires, and the LED light can also be connected to either socket.

Important Note: The transformer can handle a maximum of 20W. It contains a non-replaceable safety fuse that will permanently damage the transformer if a halogen bulb over 20W is used to replace the supplied 10W bulb.
